Professional Bio
I have been in practice for 20 years. I have specialized training in DBT, EMDR, EFT, and Motivational Interviewing because emotional regulation after surviving any type of traumatic event requires skill. The brain has changed; the individual must find safe and appropriate ways to literally short circuit the trauma response to thrive. I also integrate somatics into sessions to demonstrate how the body can help soothe the brain.
Communication, intentionality, and next step thinking are some of my passions. That being said, I acknowledge that I am demonstrative person. If I need to take it down a notch, that’s ok, just tell me. I appreciate all kinds of brains!

Personal Bio
I grew up in the south in the 60’s and 70’s and evolved into a Pagan, queer, activist. I have 3 siblings, 2 of which are also queer. I have seen thousands of trauma worn faces, I am intimately acquainted with grief, trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and the courage that it takes to craft or claim one’s identity.
I became a therapist because I love stories and mine was silenced for far too many years. I believe that our voice is the most powerful tool that we will ever possess. I truly enjoy helping individuals find their voice in their own story and craft a path to the next step. Notice. Regulate. Communicate. Navigate. That is my personal mantra, in that order.
